Life is Suite – Suite 88 Performs at Joe’s Grotto

As promised, Suite 88 delivered. It was a fantastic and energetic performance Friday night in Paradise Valley. This 4-man band had something for everyone, like a Rock Smorgas-bord!
Suite 88 is Mike Gunns ― Vocals, Kolton Lee ― Guitar, Vic Toon ― Bass, and Jesse Clutch ― Drums. All born in the year 1988, these guys are young but look and sound like they have done this all their lives.
With numerous influences, Suite 88 gives a unique show that appeals to a wide range of fans, from all age groups.
Bands like Motley Crue, L.A. Guns, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and so many more, this band is definitely not one of those “it all sounds the same” type of groups. Each song is different from the last. Even when they do a ‘cover’, they mix it up.
Not only are these guys young, cute and talented, they are great guys! Talking with them you feel like you have always known them…which is very unique in my opinion.
Too often bands keep a distance from their fans and appear unapproachable. Not this one. They make it a point to talk with the fans both before and after a show. Not only is it good ‘marketing’ for them, I truly felt it was just who they are.
Mike Gunns was very appreciative of our compliments and input. We discussed other bands on the local scene and had a great conversation, which I did not expect being my first time to ever meet him.
Vic, Jesse and Kolton were all great too. Even after their set they came over and hung out with us, and other fans.
Suite 88 is gearing up for a Canada tour in the next couple of weeks. We can’t wait to catch up with them when they get back and ask them all about it!
Watch for our interview with the guys here in the uPrint! We are also working on a video interview in the coming weeks that will be on our Youtube channel!
If you would like to submit questions for the band or any of the guys individually, please send to info@rainbowvalreg.com.
